The Legend of Tristan & Isolde
At the heart of our cottage is the ancient Cornish legend of Tristan and Isolde – a tale of love, longing, and devotion.
Tristan, a knight of Cornwall, falls hopelessly for Isolde, the Irish princess promised to his king. Bound by duty but powerless against their love, their story weaves together secret meetings, enchanted potions, heartbreak, and eternal loyalty.
It’s a story that has inspired opera, poetry, and romance for centuries. Now, it can inspire your own stay — with slow mornings, windswept walks, and starry nights by the fire.
Outdoor Spaces & Location
Step outside into your private courtyard garden, a sunny spot for breakfast, an evening BBQ, or relaxing with a drink by the fire pit. Borrow folding chairs for a day at the beach or wander straight from the cottage onto local countryside trails.
You’ll have access to a heated outdoor swimming pool (shared with the owners, peaceful, and available between 10am–5pm).
Your surroundings:
- Horses, ducks, and chickens as your friendly neighbours
- 15 mins to Gwithian & Portreath beaches
- 20 mins to St Ives
- 2 miles from Camborne train station
- Direct access to Mining Trails, footpaths & cycle routes
